Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the US. Her most well-known role is her part as Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student as a child in Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio in the United States, where she nurtured her love of the theatre. She was a student at Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago and worked in theater roles for many years. After that, she relocated to Hollywood where she started acting in movies and television shows. Anna's first big part was Arden as she appeared in Down the Shore. She played in 29 episodes. Anna continued appearing in films and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. Then she was cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. In 2008, she was cast in the role of Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully was the Deadwood film and a few other films included her. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn played in a 4-part audio-play podcast called "Numbered Days". Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's marriage to Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in the relationship he has with Skyler is mirrored in the show.
